
Rostec-arena (stadium "Kaliningrad")
The stadium is the largest in the region. Its total area is 24.4 hectares.
The stadium was built to host matches during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Since then, it has become a popular venue for sporting events and a recreational area for many residents of Kaliningrad.
During the preparations for the World Cup, extensive work was carried out to ensure the safety of the stadium. It is now considered one of the safest stadiums in the World Cup. The stadium is equipped with more than 1,000 surveillance cameras.
The stadium can accommodate up to 35,000 spectators. Of these, 387 seats are designed for people with disabilities, and 52 seats are designed for overweight individuals. There are 735 seats in the VIP section, 86 seats in the VVIP section, and 650 seats for media representatives.
The construction of a substantial sports complex commenced in 2015 and culminated in the official inauguration on May 12, 2018. Following the FIFA World Cup in 2018, the stadium became the home ground for the local Baltika football team.
In 2023, the stadium was taken over by Rostec Corporation and renamed Rostec Arena.
