Monument to Townsmen Cosmonauts
The Vikings’ Village is a reconstruction of an early medieval settlement, based on the archeology of Prussian and Scandinavian settlements and forts. Circular hillforts from 25 to 100 meters in diameter are characteristic of our region in the first millennium AD. The settlement is surrounded by a moat and rampart, the entrance group is represented by a gate tower and a fragment of a stockade.
Now there is a pottery workshop with a furnace for clay baking, a smithy, a canopy for craftsmen, a medieval tawern and one residential half-dugout. In the future, we plan to build houses of all types on the settlement, characteristic of the southeast Baltic region of the early Middle Ages.
