Festivals, competitions, holidays, and other events, some of which are quite unique, attract tourists from all over Russia and neighboring countries.

December evenings
The Decembrist Evenings Festival will be held in Kaliningrad from December to January. It will be united by a common concept — the interaction of various types of art, which in the process of creativity gives rise to new meanings and forms of their presentation.

New Year's Festival on Kant's Island
On December 25, the traditional New Year's festival will open in Kaliningrad. There will be bright photo zones, a local market with handicrafts, festive music, and delicious street food from the best local chefs.
The Krantsevsky Pie Festival
On January 17th, 2026, the Krantsevsky Pie Festival will be held in Zelenogradsk. This event will feature a 12-meter tall pie, which guests and locals can taste, as well as a concert, confectionery fair, and tea tasting.

Tales of the Old Town
A literary and musical festival will take place on the grounds of the Royal Gates of the Museum of the World Ocean. Fairy tale characters will be transported to a time filled with wonders and will tell amazing stories.

Zelenograd Cat's Birthday
Every year in March, a special event takes place in Zelenogradsk. Fairs, games, and other activities are held to celebrate the birthday of the city's beloved feline, the Zelenograd cat.

Herring Day
At the folk festival dedicated to the traditions of the Russian fishing fleet, you can taste all kinds of treats made from herring, as well as attend amateur concerts, buy souvenirs, attend master classes.

Weeks of food and music on Kant’s Island
At the spring fair on Kant’s Island, exciting events are waiting for you in combination with music and street food: watching movies and cartoons, master classes and concerts by urban groups.
FISHTIVAL
The traditional fish street food festival will be held in Zelenogradsk in the end of April.

Victory Day
On May 9th, Kaliningrad residents gather in Victory Square to watch a military parade. Thousands of people bring flowers to Victory Park and the monument to the 1,200 soldier-guards. Songs from the front years are played. Fort No. 5 traditionally hosts a historical reconstruction of a battle.

Museum Night
On May as part of the Museum Night, everyone will have the opportunity to visit the expositions of participating museums with a single ticket. Each museum has prepared its own special program for this evening to make it unforgettable for all guests.
X Russian-Chinese Youth Summer Games
The main international sporting event! Competitions among athletes from 11 to 20 years old will be held from 24 to 31 May 2026 in Kaliningrad.
The Wheel Day Festival
May 31st is a day for all bike lovers to celebrate! We will be holding cycling competitions and family races as part of this special event.
Flowers of Russia Festival in Chernyakhovsk
The Flowers of Russia Flower Festival will be held on June in Chernyakhovsk, Victory Park. At the festival in Chernyakhovsk Victory Park, each municipality of the Kaliningrad Region presents its unique floral arrangements.
International Classical Music Festival «Cantata»
The special feature of the festival is that classical music concerts take place in unusual historical locations in the region: ruined churches, castles.
Symphony of the Wind Classical Music Festival
Evening concerts of classical virtuosos and a daytime program with unique mini-concerts, an art park with photo zones and plein-airs on the theme of music, lectures, and creative meetings with famous artists are waiting for you.

Kaliningrad City Day
July 4 is the city's birthday. The celebration lasts for two days and includes carnivals, fairs, workshops, and sports competitions.
Fisherman's Day
Since Kaliningrad is the capital of fishing, it is not surprising that professional fisherman's Day is celebrated here on a grand scale. Fisherman's Day is also celebrated in Pionerskiy, Svetly, Primorye, on the Curonian Spit.
Amber Day
Conferences are being held for the International Amber Day on July 21, and special exhibitions are being prepared at the Amber Museum.
The Vocal KiViN Festival
An annual summer festival attended by KVN youth teams.

Kaliningrad City Jazz Festival
Kaliningrad is set to host the Kaliningrad City Jazz Festival in early August. The festival features a series of prominent evening concerts, with renowned jazz musicians from around the globe.

The Festival «Sosedy»
The festival includes many educational and entertainment events: horseback riding, folklore concerts, programs for children, literary meetings, and a fair.

Viking Age Festival «KAUP»
Kaup is an event for the whole family. The program of the 20th anniversary festival is designed for two days – on August 8 and 9 – and includes guided tours of the ancient Viking settlement, master classes, spectacular fights, and a fire show.

Shorter Film Festival «Koroche»
This is an international short film and debut film festival with a Russian accent.

«The territory of the world is the Territory of music»
The last weekend of summer is the time of the largest open-air classical music festival on the island of Kanta, which annually attracts more than 6,000 people.

Kaliningrad Street Food City Picnic
Dozens of Russian and foreign street food projects will gather for the Kaliningrad City Picnic on September. In addition to delicious treats, guests will enjoy sports and intellectual quests, dancing, lectures, games and other events.
